Objectives

  • Ensure a smooth transition to a new Internet Service Provider (ISP) without any service interruptions.

  • Adapt existing network configurations to maintain control over access while integrating the new ISP.

  • Identify critical parameters in advance to mitigate risks during the migration process.

The Challenge

The City wanted support in its transition to a new ISP without compromising the availability of its critical services. The existing environment was based on an on-premises infrastructure, with a Fortigate firewall and Cisco switches.

The solution

Thanks to our expertise and the trust built during previous projects, the City chose Prival to lead this change. To achieve this, we set up parallel configurations on the firewall to accommodate the new provider while maintaining the existing configurations, ensuring a quick fallback plan. Additionally, all preliminary preparations were carried out to minimize intervention time during the maintenance window.
